How this sales goal calculator works

Most salespeople set an income goal but never convert it into daily activity — so the goal stays a wish. This calculator works in reverse: it starts from the money you want and tells you exactly what to do every morning.

Customers = Goal ÷ Avg deal value
Demos = Customers ÷ Close rate
Leads = Demos ÷ Show-up rate
Daily calls = Leads ÷ Working days

Example: ₹1,00,000/month goal with a ₹5,000 average deal, 20% close rate and 50% demo show-up rate means 20 customers → 100 demos → 200 leads → about 8 calls a day over 25 working days. Suddenly the goal is just a habit.

If the daily call number looks impossible, you have two levers: improve your close rate (better follow-up discipline) or increase your average deal value. Consistency beats intensity — the number only works if you hit it every single working day.

Frequently asked questions

How does a reverse sales goal calculator work?
Instead of starting from activity, it starts from your income goal and works backwards: goal ÷ average deal value = customers needed; customers ÷ close rate = demos needed; demos ÷ show-up rate = leads to contact; leads ÷ working days = calls you must make every day.
How many calls per day do I need to earn ₹1 lakh per month?
It depends on your deal value and conversion rates. Example: with a ₹5,000 average deal, 20% close rate and 50% demo show-up rate, you need 20 customers, which means 100 demos and 200 leads — about 8 calls a day over 25 working days.
What close rate should I use in the calculator?
Use your actual close rate from the last 2–3 months (deals closed ÷ demos given). If you don't track it yet, start with 10–20%, which is a typical range for inside sales teams, and refine it once you have real data.
Is this calculator free? Do I need to sign up?
Yes, it is completely free. We only ask for your name, email and phone once to unlock your personalised daily action plan.
